I have one more question, if you're still reading this thread, QuebecOkie. Is it likely or unliekly you and your husband will be stationed anywhere else in Canada? I applied saying I was going to live in Ontario with my husband, but what if he gets stationed somewhere else before I can become a citizen? Will that change anything with my status? Or is it not too big of a deal as long as the CIC has forwarding address for me?

I have already landed, so it's not an issue for me (to answer you, though, it's quite likely he'll be stationed elsewhere, as we're at the only RCAF base in Québec).

If your husband has to move during the process, it's no big deal. You'll just need to inform CIC of the change of address. And then, because they often screw things up, FOLLOW UP with them to ensure the change has been made. The only thing that would add an extra hoop to jump through is if he were to be posted to Québec. You two would then need to apply for a CSQ (certificat de sélétion du Québec).

If your husband has to move after you have landed as a PR and before you become a citizen, that's also no big deal. PRs can live freely anywhere within Canada. Again, the only problem I could foresee is a move to Québec. They ask for that CSQ for certain things, but as it's perfectly legal for you two to later decide to move to Québec, I'm sure that a CSQ is not "required" to live here. You just might get hassled some, and some services (like the free French courses I took) might be denied to you, or you might have to fight hard with Québec to get them.

Even if he gets posted Outcan, as long as you are accompanying your Canadian citizen spouse, time spent outside of Canada with him counts toward the PR residency requirement, so no worries there, either. I definitely checked into that one, because Outcan is a possibility for my husband, and I could just see us jumping through all these hoops, going through all of this stress, and then him getting posted Outcan...and me losing my PR status! But nope, doesn't work that way, thankfully.
