Hi, my girlfriend is Polish and wants to live with me here in Canada until August. In August we will both move to Denmark for one year (me for school, she will find work), and after that back to Canada to get her either PR or citizenship. She wants to work in Canada while living here, so would the IEC be the best route? Can she move here as a visitor and then apply for IEC while here?

I'm 22, born in Canada, and working as a sysadmin for the last 3 years so I can support the both of us if needed.

She's 19, no school and not much work experience. Speaks fluent english.

Any suggestions? What would be our best options?

According to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/iec/eligibility.asp?country=pl&cat=wh the applications for 2017 opened in October so who knows if it's already full for the year. If she wants to apply, she should try now rather than wait and see.

She can not "move" to Canada as a visitor. You need to be very careful with this. Showing up at the airport with all her worldly belongings would be an invitation to immigration to turn her back on the spot. Her purpose when arriving as a visitor is to visit only.
