Canadian Visa Wait times

So I applied for my Study Permit on May 25. I am still waiting on any approval for the online process.

How does the Online Process work? What happens after the Open status is displayed on the tab. What can I do if it takes longer than expected.

My course Begins September 1 and I need to get there at least 2 weeks before that. Will my VIsa get approved before that?

Please help.

You have to wait man, from which country , you have applied, it depend upon your country processing time?

Firstly it varies from country to country..! Refer to the CIC's website for the processing times
Secondly the medical status will be updated first and the rest is afterwards

I applied online. I filled the form from India but I am currently in Oman. Is that a problem?

I applied on May 25 and the processing time said 5 weeks but I havent done my medical yet. So I am worried it will take a long time

Its not a problem whether u r in India or Oman, as u applied from Online, and now from India , its processing time is 5 weeks, so you have to wait until, its 5 week, then only u can ask CIC about ur case, hopefully u will get reply before the time, and pls let us also know, whenever u will get reply.All the best.

My documents are in order. Financial, and the other forms are all in order.

My course begins in September though so I hope it comes soon. The problem is the website said it takes 5 weeks to process and the status on the page says its open and they havent begun my application process. So the 5 weeks is for them to start the work or after they have started it takes 5 weeks?

How does the online application decide which place the application is from. Will my application be processed in India or Abu Dhabi. Since the Abu dhabi Processing Times are longer and Indian ones are shorter.

Anyone has an Idea about that?

Application are processed in country of residence provided you are living legally and you are principal applicant.
It seems you launched your application via India , so it will be definitely processed in India.

CIC doesn't know any information regarding about your current address. What is your propose to come OMAN after filing visa ? For 1 week holiday ?

My parents live there. So I came to visit them. If i give my medical test here, will it go to Abu Dhabi for processing or will it go to India. Is it better if I give the test in India itself?

have u got request for Medical from CIC?? It's not an issue , you can do Medical anywhere in the world, but the doctor should comes under CIC Physician panel. All the best.

If you are doing medical in Oman ,

Put your propose of visit in Oman including visa.

I havent gotten my medical request yet. How long does it take after I get the medical request?
