Hello, I am double board certified physician in internal medicine and pediatrics, and I've been practicing impatient and outpatient medicine since 2001. For the past 7 years, I have worked as a dedicated adult ICU nocturnist. I am a Canadian citizen. What is the process I would need to complete in order to move back to Canada ( with my wife and son who are both American) and practice medicine there? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

You will need to sponsor your wife for permanent residency in order for her to be able to live in Canada. You can either apply outland, before you move or inland once all of you are in Canada. Pros and cons to each. Recommend you dedicate time to researching both options and reading through posts in the family sponsorship section of the forum. For your son, it depends on the details. You may need to include him in the application along with your wife. Or he may already be a Canadian citizen depending on when he was born and how you obtained your citizenship. If he's already a citizen, then you only need to apply for a certificate of citizenship (not sponsor him for PR).

In terms of practicing in Canada, I'm not an expert but the following may help:

In order for you to be able to practice in Canada, first you would need to check the process of getting your license to practice/and/or equivalency. Each province have their own College of Physician and Surgeons and they have their own procedure for registration.
