Canadian Tourist Visa - NYC consulate

Hello,

I have applied for Tourist Visa through myCIC website, and uploaded all the documents a week before. Today i got response from CIC stating 'decision has been taken' , and also asking me to submit the passport along with my decision letter.

Application further states information regarding where to submit my passport can be found at http://www.cic.gc.ca/submit-envoyer/offices-bureaux-eng.asp

Going to the website, it states for new york, i have to submit the following documents

The passport request letter you received from CIC
Any applicable VAC fees, such as passport transmission fees
Full contact information, including a phone number and your full return address
The VAC consent form (PDF, 18 KB)
A pre-paid return courier envelope, if applicable

Now going to new york consulate site - https://www.csc-cvac.com/en-US/selfservice/cvac_application_processing - states that i have to submit VAC fees by bank draft and submit to

It additionally asks for submission of all forms that were uploaded to myCIC. There is confusion around this because my passport request letter says one thing, CIC website says additional information, and NYC website talks about sending more forms.

If anyone had submitted TRV application at NYC, can you let me know the exact process involved. Exactly what documents have to be sent along with passport and passport request letter?

No, you just need to send your VAC fee payment to the address in Philadelphia.

Incase someone is confused - I contacted VAC in new york today.

I sent payment for 31.19$ to lockbox
CSC Consular Services Inc
Lockbox 3352
PO Box 8500
Philadelphia, PA 19178-3352

The following documents were sent to VAC.
a) Photocopy of bank draft/cheque ( this is mandatory )
b) passport
c) CSC consent form
d) Return envelope
e) Full contact info including phone number and email address typed in word doc, and printed out.

Note that FEDEX prepaid return labels/envelopes are not accepted by VAC because they have a business arrangement with them (so they could charge you more for the same service).

I would recommend using United Parcel Service. Almost any of their services would be of much higher quality and well traceable than USPS. If you must use USPS, don't skimp and use express priority mail which will run you about $18.00.

It was fast in general. It took around 3 weeks in total.
