canadian spouse visa from USA

Hi friends my cousin is a student from India,currently studying in USA on a student visa,but she have canadian permanent residency from last month.she planning on getting married to her boyfriend in India,can she sponsor him to Canadian permanent residency after marriage while she is studying(doing PHD) in USA?Thank you for your considerations.

If she is a permanent resident, she has to reside in Canada to sponser her spouse

If she is a permanent resident, she has to reside in Canada to apply to sponsor her spouse.
If she was Canadian citizen, then it would be possible to sponsor her spouse while she is in the US

She has to be living in Canada permanently to sponsor her spouse. She can sponsor her spouse as soon as she returns to Canada but then has to remain in Canada while the application is being processed. She cannot even submit the application until she has returned to Canada.

No. She has to reside IN Canada. Studying for 6-8 months in the USA is not residing in Canada.
