Canadian spousal sponsorship for India (Punjab)

My husband and I were married in India Feb, 2015...I am Canadian and he is from Punjab
I am back in Canada without my husband and am preparing everything to sponsor him
We should have everything prepared to be sent out by next week
I am working and will be applying IN Canada
I want to be with my husband and would like to return back to India for a few months (up to 6 months) to be with him during the application process....
If I am applying INSIDE of Canada- on the application it says that I am here and that I am working etc. but during the process I could be in India....
Is it ok if I leave the country to stay with him for a few months during application process?
Should I write a letter stating I will be outside of the country for a few months in India?
I could also send all details as though I am applying outside of Canada too if this would help and include what they need - like employer letter stating I will be returning back to work with them and proof that we want to live in Canada- Is this necessary? Should I include everything even extra info?
Please any help with this would be great...I would like to buy my plane ticket soon!
