Canadian PR : Soft Landing on valid I-797 and I-94 for H-1B and expired F1 visa

Hi,

I have received my COPR recently, looking to visit Canada by air to activate my PR, can I use the AVR option with my valid I-797 and I-94. This is my first H-1B, my F1 visa is expired, and I haven't traveled outside the US since H-1B was picked.

Can someone share their recent AVR experience with an expired F1 visa and valid I797 and I94 for first-time H1b?

Thanks for the response. Since I don't have the extension issue highlighted in the link above, so I assume I can directly use my AVR option ?
