Hello PPl ,
Plz forgive me if this is not the right group/thread to post this topic.

I have filed my Canadian PR in NOV 2013 under CEC(timeline to the left in my profile). After the File number till now i dont have any update on my File.As per the latest inquiry Background verification is gng on and not sure how long it will take.I have my WP till Dec 2015.and with new Immigration Process i am sure i will get low score(around 360).So i am thinking to apply for US H1 and move there.

Q1 - Is this the right decision , as i am unable to conclude.(i know it depends on me , looking for experts suggestions)
Q2 - What are my options after i move to USA and when i get my Canadian PR(for how long i can keep my Canadian PR by living in USA)
Q3 - Any chance of getting USA GC as it takes many years when compared to Canada PR
Q4 - How is US living compared to Canadian Living.(Job , Lifestyle , Expenses , Security)

I really appreciate for your time and replies.

I went through a similar situation. I worked in Canada until Dec 2014. I applied for my PR in Jan 2014 and received it last month. Meanwhile, my company transferred me to our US location on H1B at the end of my Canadian work permit. My company has been gracious enough to file for US Greencard immediately after I moved here. So, now my Canadian PR is my backup while I wait for US GC.

1. Whether moving to US is the right decision or not - is something only you can answer for yourself as it depends on the individual situation.
2. After you get your Canadian PR, it is valid for 5 years. You have to spend atleast 2 years in Canada physically to be able to renew it. So, essentially it leaves you a period of three years to spend in US and come back if you want to keep your Canadian PR. The only other option is if your Canadian company HR is willing to provide you a letter which states you have been assigned on a company business to a location outside of Canada with exact dates of your contract outside Canada. In that case, you will be able to renew your Canadian PR.
3. US GC depends on two important factors - your country of birth (not which passport you hold) and the employment category in which you apply. All countries except China, India, Philippines and Mexico have current dates for GC. If you are from any other country excluding China, India, Mexico & Philippines, then you will get your US GC within approximately 12 month time frame. On the other hand, if you are able to apply in a category for which GC dates are current, then also you will be able to obtain GC within 12 months. Read up more in Google regarding employment based green card.
But remember that once your get your US GC, you have to stay in US for at least 6 months out of every year to maintain your GC. Otherwise, it is considered abandoned. So, if you are thinking to go back to Canada after getting US GC and stay there for 4 years and get Canadian Citizenship, then it's not gonna work.
4. There are pros and cons of each country. Expenses depend on the city in which you live. Overall, I felt that Canadian lifestyle was much laid back compared to US. Again, this comes down to your individual preference.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions mate.
So after we land , we will get 5yrs valid PR and in order to maintain the status we have to be in Canada for 730 days.
So thinking of moving to US for 2 yrs and once when i get my PR , i will come back within the time frame .
Any thoughts ???

No matter what you do and where you are, you HAVE TO BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT in Canada for a minimum of 2 years to renew your PR. I am not a lawyer. So, please verify the physical presence requirement with CIC yourself.
Do you have a valid reason to go to US? Or is it just out of desire to live in US?
When you eventually apply for Canadian PR Renewal, CIC is known to either delay or suspend such cases in the past where the holder of the PR Card has left Canada and not used their permanent residence to reside in Canada.
Do all your research before you make a decision. It all comes down to Why you are doing this.
