Canadian PR for H1B and US GC status maintenance

If one has Canadian PR Visa then wouldn't it help him to maintain status completely? So employer doesn't have to pay bench salary because everytime after one finish a contract if there is a bench for one or two or three months, he/she can move to Canada to live for those months and come back for new project.

I know that to do so one have to have stamped H1B visa because AVR can be used only till 30 days right?

Any other aspect which I am missing? This sounds feasible right?

so this is possible that one can live last 2 years of 5 year period in Canada and maintain Canadian PR status because one has to live 750+ days in Canada out of 5 years right?
