Hello,
I was thinking about apply for Canadian PR but was concerned about dependent applicant' due to his medical condition (heart), Family hold passport of visa waiver country and minor depended can get medical care in the native country.

Need advice from members on my situation. How can we address minor's medical inadmissibility condition, can we get private insurance in Canada with pre-existing conditions? Please advice on other available options? Thanks

I am sorry to hear about your dependant condition...
Are you sure the condition will cause medical inadmissibility? Not every heart condition will cause medical inadmissibility...
I think may be it would be of benefit to have a private medical consultation with one of the DMP doctors regarding this issue before you apply...

I believe for this specific question, it is best to contact directly insurance companies.
For example this one: http://www.david-cummings.com/services/index.htm
They are not better or worse than others I believe - just a company I used for the initial 3-months period after I have arrived to Canada.

May be some kind of long-term private insurance with significant coverage of expenses can convince CIC...but I am not sure. You probably are going to need a really good immigration consultant.

Dependent Medical inadmissibility situation

Hi
I am also facing medical inadmissibility problem from my son. My son lost his speech and was diagnosed having autism spectrum disorder after we moved to Canada on a work visa three years ago. We have received the procedural fairness letter stating that my son will cause excessive burden on Canadian educational and social system. My son needs special support at school. We are in Alberta and tried our best to find a way to pay for the special needs of my son. However, there seems to be no mechanism in Alberta that the parents pay for special needs of a child at school. Most of the private schools also get funding from Govt. The ones that are willing to accept funding from parents cost 40,000$ a year and are full for the coming year. We are very frustrated as I have lived in Canada for 7 years and has been working full time for the last 3 years and paying taxes. Can any one please guide how to respond to the fairness letter?

Thanks
