Hello!

I am a 2nd year PhD student at a Canadian university having a North American Master degree. Do I still need to take a language test for EE application? Thanks for your help.

Yes. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp

Hi NewAge,

Which stream are you applying?
Do you have any work experience?
I'm a PNP nominee with less than 1 yr work experience. Just wondering if you are in the same situation.

I think I should apply through FSW, not sure though!

I am on study permit, working as a RA in the lab for one and half year. Does it count as work experience?

It's not really silly, it's just part of the process. It's used for your CRS score ranking, so if there are 2 candidates with identical scores in all areas apart from language, the candidate with the higher score is ranked higher.

Everyone has to do it, even me and I am English.
