Hi All,

After trying out in all possible windows, trying to have my question answered here in this forum. Have sent multiple reminders to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca on this but to vein ! :(

It would be great if some one in this forum guide me.

I am in process of applying Canadian PR for me and my common law partner under Economic class/FSW program.

If I am applying from Chennai, India, which is the immigration office requested for processing the FSW application for me ?

Also, Attestation from Notary / Oaths commissionaire on Common Law Union document which is to be signed by all three myself, my partner and the oaths commissioner : A attorney or oath commissionaire is not going to attest our forms as the same sex conjugal relationship is illegal in India.

Kindly suggest if there is an exception.

Looking forward for your response in this regard.

If you're applying from India, the visa office is NEW DELHI.

previous discussions on the same subject :

If you are married, then you have a marriage certificate.
Which means you have signed all the necessary declaration on the wedding day (in marriage contract) in front of the marriage commissioner and witnesses.

Statutory declaration of common law relationship is done by people who are not married but want a legal declaration of their common law relationship in front of commissioner of oaths (Or someone who is similar like notary public. I think) and witnesses.

Hi, I am talking about same sex partner here and we both have been in relationship for past 7+ years. This kind of conjugal relationship cannot be represented in anyway in the form of Common Law Union document right ? I had a chance to speak to one of the lawyers and he said such documents would not be authorised by any oaths commissioner or notary in India as it is discriminated here. Pls suggest as to what shall be done on such scenario.
