What kind of questions are being asked to the Guarantor and 2 References by the Passport office?

Do they even call Guarantor and 2 references (who knows you from 2 years)?

what i heard is they will ask them like how long they knew the person, the color of the hair, height, where he/she work, with beard or mustache something like that
