Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

I haven't received the certificates yet. I assumed that the certificates are sent with the passports in the same package. No?

I got mine yesterday but I haven't got my passport yet.

You should be able to get it on time if you apply in person. You can also apply for urgent processing which just costs you more money...
I applied mine on Jan. 13 in person and now it's in the printing room. The receipt says the mail out date is Jan. 27 but that might not be correct. The rep told me to call them sometime next week to get a tracking number.

Do they send it by courier? I thought they will send passport on regular mail.

Yes, you need to put either $120 if validity of Passport in needed for 5 years or $160 if you need 10 year validity Passport.

I dont have any guarantor so i am using pptc132, wanted to know ,do i have to leave blank , the section 2 in pptc (153 10-2021)154F , and attched the guarantor form pptc132 signed by notary.

It's tough nowadays to find guarantor as people are either with Omicron or afraid of Omicron...
So, how this notary form works?

Quick update: Spoke with the passport office today as 21 business days have passed since the mailed-in application was received. The rep said that the processing time for my application is 25-30 business days. We calculated it together and were told new the expected delivery date is between Feb 3-10.

Whether they informed you as at which stage is your file such as Intake, Examination, Printing, etc?

Anyone else in this group whose Passport file is stuck in Gatineau, Quebec since November or Dec first week and there has been no update on the file?

Here is my timeline for my kid's application:

Application delivered: December 29th

Called on 14th Jan as CC was not charged, came to know that application is in progress

CC charged : January 21st

Birth certificate received: January 25th

Passport collected : January 28th

Note : called passport helpline on Jan 26th n got the tracking number for PP.
The parcel with passport never came to me as there was a typo in address (strange as it was fine for the birth certificate). Collected the from the Canada post on Jan 28th

lLesson learnt: It’s always good to call them whenever you think it’s getting late. If I hadn’t called , I would have never known the status and parcel would be sitting in PO.

They use Canada Post 2-day Xpresspost. I submitted my application on Jan. 13 and received the passport on Jan. 28. Just 2 weeks of precessing time.

Hello i was charged on the 20th they said when i called them that it is by 4th Feb if you did not receive anything call us back but not sure i do not trust them.
