Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Here is my timeline for my kid's application:

Application delivered: December 29th

Called on 14th Jan as CC was not charged, came to know that application is in progress

CC charged : January 21st

Birth certificate received: January 25th

Waiting for passport.

You should try to call them. My card wasnt charged for over 2 weeks and i later found out they had an issue with my card.

My CC was charged after 3 weeks, but there was no issue with the card. but yeah, it's always better to call for peace of mind.. I had also called after 2 weeks to find there was no issue..

Please use express option and in person to pick(then they have pressure to work on it) as it can be no reply forever. This is the fourth month that I called to ask and they just said no progress but got my application, that's all. No expected timeline, it can be forever.

Damn it, did you apply regular, express or urgent?

Yea, just got off the phone with them actually, my file isn't created thus far. I guess there are multiple teams doing things differently at passport canada.

My application is meant to go to gatineau, but I just used the tracker and it said delivered in Ottawa?
Anyone know what's up with that?

Same here. I think that it is normal since I’ve read lots of posts of people having the same situatio. I don’t think it is a problem at all

Mine was delivered on Jan 14th and my credit card isn't charged yet.

Looks like yours and mine went to same set of officers. Mine was sent on 10 Jan and delivered on 12 Jan and still credit card not charged yet.

I have sent my passport applications to Gatineau but strangely I got charged with location as 'Sask' and today I just got the certificates back from Saskatoon, SK.
I am from montreal.
Is that normal?

Sent : 23rd dec
Delivered : 30th dec
Charged : 19th (adults) and 20th Jan (kids)
Got certificates back for all : 26th Jan

I want to share my current timeline for mail-in application:
- Family applications for our first Canadian passport (3 adults + 1 minor).
- Mailed out altogether in one envelope on Dec 21, 2021 from Toronto, Ontario.
- Received on Dec 23, 2021 at Gatineau, Quebec.
- Credit card charged for all applications on Jan 07, 2022.

Based on what I'm reading here, I'm expecting to get the passport by the week of Jan 23. I'll keep my fingers crossed and I'll repost when there are updates.

Quick update: Spoke with the passport office today as 21 business days have passed since the mailed-in application was received. The rep said that the processing time for my application is 25-30 business days. We calculated it together and were told new the expected delivery date is between Feb 3-10.

I applied regular because in mid Oct the passport office just opened and I didn't really rush to have it.

I haven't received the certificates yet. I assumed that the certificates are sent with the passports in the same package. No?

Sometimes they come separate and sometimes in the same package along with passport. It depends upon them.
