Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

I sent mine on Jan 13,2022 via Canada Post,
Delivered to Ottawa Ontario on Jan 18,2022 as per tracker.
Did chat with Canada Post. The agent confirmed it delivered to Quebec Office..
and Tracker is wrong.

Thank you for sharing. I sent my application on Jan 16 to Gatineau and the Canada Post tracker also shows that it’s been delivered to Ottawa.. It makes sense now, that their tracker is not accurate.

Was just wondering, when you're applying by mail they ask for Credit Card number, expiry date and name. But what about the 3 digits at the back, don't they need that info too for using the card?

They don't need the CVV , just the number, expiry date and name are sufficient.

Same here , sent to Gatineau QC Thursday 13th after hours (Canada Post xpresspost ) , delivered Monday 17-th (with signature) to Ottawa ON, then "item rescheduled for delivery next business day" and next day, once again delivered with signature (same signature btw , once again to Ottawa ON.
Today i've noticed that early Friday (21st) (7:30) credit card was charged at Gatineau, so it seems that everything is delivered properly.
Am I right that they would send some tracking info for the followup ?
Or I need to request status via the form , otherwise I won't have any visibility on the progress ?

Thats Great that they charged your CC in 4 days.. probably then mine will be charged in next 2-3 days

Should family passport request be send together, or it's better to send two packages (more chances not to get any error)?

Mine was delivered on Jan 14th and my credit card isn't charged yet.

You should try to call them. My card wasnt charged for over 2 weeks and i later found out they had an issue with my card.

Oh my god do you recommend the express option? I have flight on the February 22nd and I feel like if I apply normally I may not make it still!!

Please use express option and in person to pick(then they have pressure to work on it) as it can be no reply forever. This is the fourth month that I called to ask and they just said no progress but got my application, that's all. No expected timeline, it can be forever.

If your card got charged, doesn’t it mean that they received your application and everything’s fine? I didn’t know we had to follow up with them until I read this thread. Now I’m wondering how long I should wait before contacting them if my card hasn’t been charged yet..

Awaiting for cc charge in hopes that the application will not be returned!!
