Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

I want to share my current timeline for mail-in application:
- Family applications for our first Canadian passport (3 adults + 1 minor).
- Mailed out altogether in one envelope on Dec 21, 2021 from Toronto, Ontario.
- Received on Dec 23, 2021 at Gatineau, Quebec.
- Credit card charged for all applications on Jan 07, 2022.

Based on what I'm reading here, I'm expecting to get the passport by the week of Jan 23. I'll keep my fingers crossed and I'll repost when there are updates.

So based on what i read it is taking a month approx to get the new passport correct? my application delivered in Gatineau on Jan/07/2022 anyone can just give me some hope when i can expect it? even if not true but i will be happy if i know from your experience thank you .

My application was delivered on Jan 7 based on your timeline i will expect a charge next week thanks for sharing your timeline.

My child's application was delivered on November 29th, Credit card hasn't been charged yet. waiting till tomorrow else will give them a call on Monday, Jan 17th.

They say they may call them but as far as i know they don’t call, they call only in applications when is difficult to identify the applicant only but from all friends i know no guarantor received a call.

Right after the credit card is charged your passport is marked as “in production” but same as “under examination” - it can take a week or weeks, before it’s mailed (it’s just what they say, not what is actually happening)
In my case I made a complaint so they follow up with me, I will be calling them myself next week, you have to keep calling, every office is different, and you are from the USA, yours might take even longer and a different story altogether

Why is it different if you are from USA? Thanks.
