I am planning to apply passport for myself and children. For children application, Can my wife sign their applications a guarantor in Section 6?

This is what I found :
If your wife is already a Canadian citizen and has a passport, she can act as a guarantor.
Thanks Raj! No she is not Canadian Citizen. Is it required to be a Canadian Citizen to sign?

Guarantor has to be a Canadian citizen . For references it is not necessary but references cannot be family member
Yes. The guarantor needs to be a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport that is valid OR a passport that hasn't been expired for more than 1 year.

Today I got the tracking number for both my passport and the certificate
So just in case someone is worried it is normal to not be able to track your certificate because typically it is mailed after the passport (not always)
Passports usually get mailed before the certificate
Does anyone know long long it takes for the package to be shipped from Mississauga to downtown Toronto?

For anyone interested I sent my very simple application (no errors, no calls to guarantors or references) on June 29, 2021 and I am STILL waiting for my passport lmao
If you have urgent plans, do walk-in, otherwise you will go crazy waiting

they are sending out citizenship certificate that quick? I mean I saw your timeline says "Aug 23" Oath date. Then how would you receive certificate on 25th? I received it after 25 days.
1-2-3 days should be fine. However, once it took me 2 weeks to get a small envelope from Mississauga to Toronto
Hope you will receive it within a regular time frame!

I got certificate in one week (5 business days) you can get it even faster if you can provide proof that you are travelling soon
