Canadian Passport in person timeline

I received my Canadian passport in the mail today - just 6 working days after I applied!

We finished our Oath Ceremony today - based out of lower mainland. Looking at passport application, there is no appointment availability any passport offices? Where did you apply - walk in? Any recommendation on which center is relatively less wait time?

Guys can you please suggest if is it better to apply for my passport (first time) through Mail in application or through in-person? I will be applying soon and currently residing in Vancouver. I don't mind applying through either, just want to know which one is quicker.

Let me know where you applied please. we had our oath ceremony, but unable to get appointment in any Vancouver passport offices. Did you do a walk in?

Did a walk in at Surrey Central passport office
I went there a 6.30 AM and got entry in the first 15-20 people batch
The actual time it took inside the office was less than 15 mins
Suggestion is to go early. Go to any passport office closest to you.
Since a good amount of backlog is cleared now, passport services are returning to their normal/standard service times

You have to call them and check status. Passport Canada doesn’t seem to have a digital advance systems for tracking. They must have mentioned mailing out date to you during application process. They will likely to stick with date.

no need appointment just go to nearest passport canada apply for standard and if you airtkt apply expideted always choose pickup option you know when you get passport

My guarantor was called after I submitted for my passport, they asked him for my address. He didn’t know my exact address but said I live somewhere close to X street. Just wanted to ask if that will be ok ?
