Canadian passport application timeline - Scarborough Passport Office

Hi everyone,

I applied for my passport in-person at Scarborough passport office on July 19 and the receipt that they gave me shows that the mail-out date will be on the 3rd of August.

For those who applied for a new passport, does it really take 10 days for the passport to be delivered at your door?

I'm in no rush to get it as I don't really have a definite travel plan anytime soon. It's just that I am visiting my family and friends in Montreal for a week in the first week of August and it would be nice to have my passport handy just in case we decide to cross south of the border.

Please share your timeline and experience. Thanks in advance.

I applied for passport at Montreal on July 7th and I received it by mail on July 20th.

It took 13 calendars days from applying to receive it.

Joseph it usually takes 7 days in scarborough, but you should have paid for the expedited it would have been there in 3 or 4 days

Got my passport 10 days after I applied for it.
