Canadian online TRV visa processing time in recent times

I guess we cannot send it before they request us. They are asking to include a letter that they send with the passport. Are you planning for a US visa stamp in canada .?

I think I don't need U.S. visa stamp as my stamp will revalidate on its own (J-1 Visa) I just wanna go to Canada for a Vacation before I go back to my home country

BF applied in person in Kingston JA on Jan 22 2013 and to date no word yet.
March 8th he got a call for further docs and he submitted march 22. Going crazy and driving him crazy cause its 18 weeks and it says on the website 42 business days ( 8 weeks)

When apply TRV online how would you know which consulate its applied to?? Because each consulate has different processing times!!
As I have applied on July 05 2013 yet not received any update all I see on MYCIC page "OCWP - Request an EVN or a Transfer of Eligibility Verification".... not sure why this is coming. Mine is tourist visa not student visa.
any suggestions/help??
