Hi! I am getting married with my girlfriend in mexico within two weeks but now we just found out something about "long birth certificate" is i possible to get the normal one legalized and then get married with that one? how does my girlfriend even know if she has the long one or a normal one? what does it have to say or how does it look like? by the way, does it have to be legalized by the Mexican Consular Office having jurisdiction over the region where the birth certificates were issued or also BY THE CANADIAN MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS?

please we really need help, the time is getting closer
thank you so much in advance

what exactly did you find out about birth certificate? Canada issues two types 1. long form that has full details of birth, both parents names, hospital of birth etc. 2. the short form is about a third of a page. its small and can be folded and put in wallet.

why do you need the long form? i cant answer your question fully until you explain what you need it for in your case

you can order one online here https://ecos.vs.gov.bc.ca/#
you can choose either standard $27 which takes 5 days plus canada post shipping or you can order the 24hr with additional charge of about $33 plus express shipping. Depends how soon you need it.
