So I have to send in my passport and my family's passports for visa stamping? Ive read the process takes quite a lot of time.
The problem is my daughter's college(NYU,USA) starts in less than 30 days and my son is already in USA and there is no way he can come to India for his passport submission
So my question is:
1) Is there a way by which we can get our stamped passports back in a week? A letter for expedited reply?
2) Can my son directly submit his passport from USA?
I would really appreciate a quick reply. Thankyouu!

First thing's first, visa stamping will take time no matter what. But since you are an investor applicant(which means more valuable) you can submit a formal request with your passports stating the matter and ask to expedite things.

Secondly, you can only submit your passports to high commission where you have applied to. So this is your best bet

1) Get all your medicals done
2) Tell your daughter to leave early for states
3) Tell your children to courier you their passports
4) When you get your passports courier them back to your children so they can then drive to canada and complete all the formalities.

The drawback is that you can't legally send your passports outside the country you are living in but know alot of people who actually send their passports back to India while they are studying or working there.

Best of luck

P.S Your immigration is much more important than college. Your children could drop all the courses for a semester, it's not a big deal.

Sending passports through courier is a bit risky affair as if they get to know there are passports inside , Indian authorities can impound the whole courier envelope as its illegal to send passports out of the country through post .

The best bet is to send passports through somebody who's traveling to india also hand him a signed authority letter that the passport holders are allowing him to carry to india

You just made him more confused, though your suggestion is wiser none the less.

I gave him the right advice as there is always a risk involve in sending passports through courier , I sent mine as well but through a friend.

So all our medicals are done.
Can I submit my and my wife's passport for stamping first and then send in my kids's passport later when they come back during vacations?

Also Is there a legal process by which I can bring my family's passport from the states to India?
