Canadian High Commission through Singapore

Hi,

Today I sent my Regular FSW application to the Canadian High Commission in Singapore. Please share your experience about this visa section. When will I receive a letter from them to confirm about my application?

it used to be 30 days. i think now they say after 3 months if u dont here from them then u should querry

Thanks for your reply. I applied my simplified application process last year and now I have a job offer from Alberta, that's why I sent my supporting documentation for them and asked them to change my application into the Regular Process. I also heard that 4-6 weeks to hear from the CHC in Singapore for confirming my package of documents. I hope everything will be ok. I had checked carefully before I sent it.

Why dont you use the faster AINP now that you have a AB job offer???

Is there any bindings if anybody goes Canada under PNP, they must live in that province..?
If yes... then how many years...? what is the law..?

I applied for PR through Canadian HC in Singapore in 2005. It didn't take me 1 month to receive the file number.

BTW, you mentioned that you had received a job offer. If you don't mind tell what profession you have and how you could get the job offer. Is that a full time, permanent job offer approved by the authorized body?

Touche...HaHa,Yes We are Beach Bums here,That I agree But Seriously -40 C in Winter,I think I will concede that We are not "real"Canadians,But with Vancouver only snowing 8 times last Winter,I will stick with BC,Though you Albertans are richer then us . Canada is divided between Beautiful British Columbia as one region,Strong and Free and RICH Albertans,The Praire Provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan as another Region,The Ontario Industrial Heartland,The Quebec Nation within a United Canada and the Maritime Provinces and the North.These are the Canadian Regions of which I personally like BC the best and Love the Albertans for the money they provide us

Some Canadians identify a lot by their province, especially in Quebec, maybe Newfies too, but a lot of people have moved between provinces. I have friends here in AB who are originally from BC or SK or ON and it doesn't really come up that much except when they talk about going back there to visit family.

I am fraid of the cold in AB because I am from Asia with hot weather. Although I have got a job offer there because my brother's boss offers me a position there to work as a sales manager, I said to my brother and his boss that I will be there to work if I and my family don't have any health problems because of the cold and they said it is sure that I and the family will be ok there. So anyway I will go there first and then I and my wife will make a final decision.

It's only cold outside, it's warm inside the house Only thing, you might want to invest in a humidifier, they are not very expensive, maybe $50 and absolutely worth it. Many people have problems with the dry air here in the winter, especially if they are used to more humid climates. Of course if you move to Vancouver, they have ocean so it's humid there. Your hair will curl.

Thanks, finally you have taken decision to go first in AB.
In this regard could you pls clear in which system now your application to be processed by CHC Singapore..? whether FSW or PNP as understand that last year in 2007 you have applied through simplified system and now you have got job offer from AB and same you have notified to CHC Singapore and advised the authority to change your application into the Regular Process. Here what did you mean to say.. Regular Process..?
