canadian family ties in application, helps the immigration process?

Hi, just a quick question, may sound a silly one, my husband has applied for my visa under family class from Mississauga. I'm from the middle east. My sister lives in Canada, on student visa and my aunt (mother's sister) is a canadian national. Does all of this help my application?

Not really. In fact it probably makes it more difficult for you, given your family ties in Canada.

shouldn't that be a problem for someone applying for a visit visa? is that a problem for immigration too
