Canadian Express Entry CRS Pool Ranking System

Dear Team,

I have a some questions would appreciate your valuable inputs:

1) For example if I have an total score of 470 points and I was legible for the Dec 2016 month's minimum requirement invitation point of 465, will I be selected automatically for the PR invitation ? or will they prefer or only select people from the pool who have 700 points and above for that month and keep my profile back in the pool for the next months or so ?

2) Also do they select only lets say 400 out of 500 candidates for that month and leave the rest for the next invitation pool ? or do they select all the candidates in that pool for lets say Dec 2016 who are within the points quota of 465 and above

3) Once I'm in the legibility and have a total of 470 points, will I be preferred and selected based on my education, age, experience and other qualification or based on my total CRS score only ?

4) Is the Express Entry invitations system a type of lucky draw system ?

5) If I'm selected for the Invitation for PR with 470 points, will I be assigned an Job offer by an Employer or would I still have to look for an Job in Canada once I land in the country ?

6) If my total points is 470 and I was not legible for the October requirement of 550 points and November requirement of 580 points, will my application still be automatically taken forward to the coming months of Dec 16, Jan 17 and so forth until I'm legible for the minimum points criteria ?

No.
Draws happen every alternate wednesday, visit CIC website for further details. Last draw happened on 21st September when cutoff score was 482. this means at that point of time, every candidate who has 482 points or higher, will receive ITA.

If 465 is the cut off for that particular draw, then all candidates with 465 points and above will receive ITA. As mentioned above, last draw cutoff was 482.

ONLY on your CRS score. Nothing else.

4) Is the Express Entry invitations system a type of lucky draw system ?
NO

ha ha you will still need to look for a job buddy...

Your EE profile is valid for 1 year from the date of creation... after that, your profile expires, then you can recreate profile again and "dive" back in the pool

The draw with the score 465 means that all candidates in the pool who hold 465 points or more on the day of draw will be invited. Scores are based on Comprehensive ranking systems and they do not make any difference when making a draw. For example, if a person 1 (with better English but less work experience) and a person 2 (with a bit worse English but longer work experience) have the same score, they will be equally treated and selected.

No one is offering you a job offer, you have to find it yourself. Registration in Job Bank is just a formality.
Your EE profile is valid for 1 year since it's created. You can stay in the pool to wait to be selected until your profile is expired.

WOW, Thank You thestunner316 & Sluffy for your reply, that was fast and on point

This will help me move forward with my profile as I have an overall score of 395 and hoping to bring it up to 460 or 470 range by redoing the IELTS once again. At lease this way I know I did the best I could, as well as apply for jobs in the meanwhile.
