canadian experience vs. family class

Hello. I'm in a rather unique situation, I imagine. A few months from now I'll have the ability to apply for PR through the Family Class option (I'm marrying a Canadian citizen in a few weeks) or the Canadian Experience option (I'll have been working full-time for one year at roughly the same point in time.) Does anyone have any recommendations for which option to use? I'm tempted to go with the Canadian Experience simply because it's a few months quicker, but at the same time it involves a lot more money and time than the Family Class option does (tracking down former employers to write reference letters, taking an English-language exam even though I was born in the UK, etc.). Does anyone have any advice?

Cheers,

Dan

Family class should be significantly faster. Apply outland (not inland). Doesn't matter if you are in Canada - you can still apply outland.

Hi, I'm not familiar with Family Class. Could you please explain why outland is better? Thanks

Ouland isn't better for everyone - it's better for some (depends on the processing time of the country visa office). More information about inland and outland is provided in the first post in the following thread:

Generally, outland is processed faster than inland. However, the inland option does permit you to obtain a work permit (if that is a concern), once your sponsor's application has been approved (and your waiting for yours to be processed).
