Hi
I have a query regarding the Canadian Experience requirement. I came to Canada on open work permit in July 2016. For initial 2 months i was working for my company based in India on contract (The company doesn't have any base in Canada). I was doing market research for possible business opportunity in Canada.

I would like to know whether CIC would count these 2 months as Canadian experience for the purpose of PR application or not.

Regards

It is required that the work be performed in Canada.
Thanks Jes...
Is that the only criteria. I can prove that i was in Canada at the time of employment with the help of passport and date of entry. What other documents would be required to prove that.

??? Not sure, but it sounds like you are suggesting trying to prove that you were in Canada when you were actually in India. Bad idea.

Nope Jes... This is true case. I am just concerned because if my application gets rejected, i would loose some important time as well as application fees. I just want to know what would be the documents required to show this kind of employment.

He was working for his Indian employer for couple months while in Canada.

He wants to count this as Canadian work experience.

Hi

So, to me this sounds like the OP was in India for those 2 months. Does he mean he was in Canada on a business trip? If that is the case, no, it does not count.
