It has be one year of continuous, full-time, work (minimum 30 hours a week).

You're certainly eligible to create an EE profile, but won't be awarded experience points unless it's one year, full-time, continuous work in one qualifying NOC.

hey vic,

are you sure about it as there is no where mentioned that you have work in 1 year in a NOC .They just told you need to have 1 year skilled continuous Canadian experience to get 40 points.??

agreed, I have not yet found that in the ministerial instructions, however, that appears to be the way the online EE application has been designed.

Does it show the full points after completing the EE profile ...im trying to create a dummy profile and check.

But that doesnt make any sense they have only told 1 year of skilled canadian experience .I have also checked the official CRS calculatoreven it asked for 1 year skilled experience.

Hello bud,

Thanks for sending me the link .Suppose if i work continusoly for 10 month in NOC B(2282) and 2 months in NOC B(2281) .Will i get 40 points for canadian experience.

My understanding, based on experience with my own profile, is that the way the system is designed, it looks at the NOC of the Primary Occupation.

Only when I had 1 year of experience with same NOC code of primary occupation that I got the 40 points.

I agree. Per CIC, everything before receipt of actual application (after ITA issued) are computer codes, no human is involved.

They may have the same NOCs but I'm unsure if the system would count them? If you are able to create a profile do it and see what results you get.
