Hello Friends.

I am a pharmacy graduate(pharmacy technician) from Canada. However i have ended up working with a fast food restaurant( subway) since i was eligible to work in canada to present date. The education i took has now become the regulated profession so i dont want to get into it. It will require to study again and pay high fees to regulatory body.

Here is my situation,

Hired as sandwich artist for part time in Subway 1(Feb 2012-oct- 2013) at $ 10.25/ hour.
Hired as sandwich artist for full time in suway 2.(May 2012- sep 2012) at $ 10.25/ hour.
Promoted as Restaurant Supervisor in subway 2.(nov 2012-nov 2013) at $ 12/ hour.
Promoted as Restaurant Manager in subway 2.( Dec-2013-Present) at $ 36000 Per year.

My question is will the Visa officer consider this application as my education does not meet with the work i do.
what are the chances of getting the approval .

I meet the IELTS requirements too.

Any reply will help.

Thank you people.

well...

The fact that you worked your way up is good. If you said you started as a manager without prior experience after graduating with a pharmtech degree, that would be suspicious.

HOWEVER...

It all depends on your job duties and responsibilities that your employer will put in the letter of employment. Regardless of your title, you have to chose an NOC based on your duties and responsibilities. Two possibilities are NOC 6311 and 0631.

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/ProfileKeyword.aspx?val=0&val1=0631&val11=fast%20food&val12=0&val13=0&val14=&val15=0&val16=0

Unfortunately, under current rules, NOC 6311 is ineligible for CEC.

And because of that, anyone who applies iwth NOC 0631 will be under extra scrutiny to make sure they actually perform the duties of NOC 0631.

If you plan to apply, you should know that the application procedures are going to change quite a bit as of January 1, 2015.

You will have to pre-qualify under a new "express entry" points/criteria system, to maybe get an invitation to apply to one of the programs like CEC, before you can actually apply.
