well i am looking for the link for post graduate certificate at a college web site that was clearly written that you after completing the post graduate certificate you can apply for 3 years work permit..............i never think while reading that information that some one ask for proof because after reading this i changed my college and did apply in another college for post graduate certificate.......i hope i will find it again becuase im my directory alot of colleges i am still searching for this.......

Here is what CIC says

f you studied for... Then...
less than eight months you are not eligible for this program
less than two years but more than eight months you may get a work permit for a period no longer than the length of time you studied (for example, if you studied for nine months, a work permit may be issued for a period of nine months)
two years or more a work permit may be issued for three years

well heartbeat, i'm afraid neither of the posted links prove (or clearly state) that one is eligible for a 3 year work permit after completion of a 1 year postgraduate certificate course. They always say that you'll be eligible for a post grad work permit that can be from 1 - 3 year max depending on the lenght of your course. They follow whichever is less in time period.

Effective immediately, and for the first time, these international students would be able to obtain an open work permit under the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program, with no restrictions on the type of employment and no requirement for a job offer. In addition, the duration of the work permit has been extended to three years across the country. Previously, the program only allowed international students to work for one or two years, depending on location.

well chances are every where but i am talking about only the change in policy......

Please tell me one thing.They say for PR you need 2 years of study but what if I admitted to 1 year masters degree.Its not of 2 years.Do I need to take one more year degree in something else?There site is damn confusing.

I really don't understand why people would go with what is stated in a non official web site about PGWP. Read what CIC states and go from there.
