Hi there

I have a querry regarding my work experience under CEC in Express Entry.
Now i have been working in the same place and i will be completing 1 year this November.
But in that period we have got two different owners who have been running the firm.
Will it still be counted as a years experience for Express Entry CEC??

CEC does not require that your one year of work experience be continuous or for a single employer. In any case, change of owners should not have any impact on your eligibility.

Thanks for the info.
So if i have two seperate experience reference letters from the two seperate employers then that will still be counted as a years experience for the same firm?
And i would not have an issue while applying for Express Entry.

Hi Guys,

I am applying in CEC express entry, My case and query is below.

Currently i am working for CGI group since 13 months in Toronto.
Previously back home in India i worked in TCS (2010-2014)

Just want to get the checklist what all letters are required to show my back home TCS experience.
i am having release letter, service letter. I dont have my payslips and employer is not ready to give me letter stating all my duties/responsibilities on the letter head. I can get an email from my manager through the TCS email id stating my roles and responsibilities etc.

exactly please let me know the checklists of document i need to submit. Thanks in Advance.

In my mind, one company, one employer, change of ownership should not matter. But if you happen to have 2 letters (example, if the old owner and new owner both write letters), then that is OK too. Add a letter of explanation about the change of ownership. In any case, it will not matter, as long as the work experience is skilled, the letters contain all the required information and you can provide supporting documents, and you have worked a combined total of at least 52 weeks...
