Hello,

It's a maximum of 200 applications for each NOC B occupation. And this is already under discussion on http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/counting-started-for-12000-cap-t176207.240.html

So this means starting from May 1st there are only 8000 applications? Does this include those submitted before May 1st?

Unfortunately, at this time, we all know probably just as much as you do. However, it is going to be designed similar to Australia and New Zealand's immigration system.

There is no need for you to worry about Express Entry if you are applying this year :)

Does anyone have anymore info on this 'Express Entry' model CIC are implementing in Jan 2015?

A press release was issued today that references the new 'Express Entry' program, but doesn't go into much detail....

Just curious how the Express Entry would be useful for those who are already working under skilled occupations in Canada.
For recent updates on FSW and CEC, i don't understand what CIC wants to do, limiting opportunities for those who are already in Canada and working while increasing FSW occupations list from 25 to 50.

I wonder which program will receive the higher priority.
My NOC is in the new FSW list and I wonder which one is better to apply for, CEC or FSW

There's no such special priority for an immigration category. If you think you qualify under FSW, then apply on May 01, 2014. If not, wait until you get the required work experience for CEC and apply under CEC. Bear in mind that you can apply for your PR under both the categories.

my husband is in environment job. But for-32.Inspectors in public and environmental health and occupational health and safety (2263) he is overqualified. He could be as an environmental analyst or manager. Is there any way for him to apply for FSW?
Read the program instructions -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

If he has at least 1 year of full-time experience in the past 10 years in one of these eligible occupations, he may be eligible.
