Canadian embassy in the Philippines requested for my passport July28,2010

The Canadian embassy sent me a letter to send my passport to the canadian embassy in Makati City Philippines, so i sent it via courier and they received it 1st week of august. They then sent me another letter asking for my family information so i sent that 6th of august. Til now they have not returned my passport stamped with my canadian visa.

Does it usually take this long?
and is there a number i can contact to do a follow up if there is something wrong or if they did receive the family information they asked for in the 1st week of august.

June 6 sent application
July 21 approved sponsorship
July 26 manila start processing our application
july 28 sent my passport to canadian embassy in makati
aug 5 received letter from embassy asking for additional family information (strange because i submitted that same form back in june 6)
Aug 6 sent additional family information to canadian embassy in makati

I'm just worried as to why they have not returned my passport yet when it has been 1month and 1week now?

i have some 2 friends who both sponsored their spouse and it took 3 weeks for 1 to get her passport back and the other one took exactly 1 month and then they returned the passport already with the visa.. im just worried on why mine is taking a bit longer
