Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to create my Express Entry profile for couple of weeks, I have done my graduation form BC, Canada. I have decent IELTS score and 2 years of work experience. However, i am not getting any points for my 3 year Canadian Education as shown in CRS tools. Am i doing something wrong? is someone else facing the same issue as well? Please help as i am afraid that i might lose chance of getting into the next draw.

Thanks

Check your answer to this question:

Was more than half the study program English or French as a second language courses?

If you answered 'yes' then you'll not get points.

so, i should answer No? will i get points then?

Well your answer is dependent on what the purpose of the course was...why would you answer 'Yes' to that question unless half the study program actually was English or French as a second language courses...?

If half the study program WAS English or French as a second language course, then you have no choice but to answer 'Yes' and not get points for it (we can't 'misrepresent information just for the sake of getting more points).

But if half the study program WASN'T English or French as a second language course, and you just selected 'Yes' ACCIDENTALLY, then that's a different story...

My education was totally in english, no other second language was involved. so , i am choosing the option " NO" now. lets see if i get the points now.

LOL, the question isn't really asking what language your programme was taught in, but we understand what you're saying. :)

For information, though, what the question appears to be asking is what the PURPOSE of the programme was. There are some programmes where the course or a portion of the course is meant to teach English/French as a second language to non-English/non-French speakers - the question is asking whether your programme was one of these, where half of the courses were geared toward specifically teaching English/French as a second language.
