Canadian Citizenship Test April 24th Vancouver 2012 Test Result


Applied in May 2011.

March (22nd-ish) 2012 received citizenship test date of April 24th

My letter confirming a Ceremony arrived on July 5th so almost exactly 10 weeks after i took the test in Vancouver.

Oath ceremony scheduled for July 20th 2012

just an update:

wrote the citizenship test on march 08, 2012.
received a letter today, notice to appear to take the oath of citizenship
on june 29, 2012.

Paiva "why did it take so long?" my friend this is the million dollar question unfortunately no one has an answer (even CIC) ;D

When I called CIC they told me that the reason for the delay is due to the closure of all of the smaller CIC offices. Mississauga has received many of the files from these closed offices (in Ontario anyways) and it is in a state of chaos (exact words by the CIC person). Anyone who has a file in Mississauga may have to wait up to 6 months. That is the maximum time that they are allowed to hold a file. For me that means my ceremony must take place by August 27th at the latest.

Me and my daughter got our Oath letter today!!!!!!!

On July 19th at 9 am at Glen Erin!
