Canadian Citizenship Application -- PCC Needed ?

My wife came to Canada in July 2022 on Spousal PR and has been continuously living in Canada since then. She has gone to India once for 1 month over the last 3 years. She is now eligible to apply for Canadian Citizenship.

Online Application tells that she needs to submit a police clearance certificate if she has been outside of Canada for more than 183 days continuously in the last 4 years. She has been in Canada just over 3 years, and 1 year previously to that, she was in India, Country of Origin.

Does she need a Police clearance certificate or not? Thanks for any help

It's not needed. If you read the application guide they say if you were in the country of origin in the eligibility period then it's not required. I don't think the one month stay would trigger a PCC request. If she stayed over 183 days then yes, but not for just a month.
