Hi,
guys need ur help to clear few things out...
i moved to canada in 2000 with my family and was there until june 2007 and we got our citizenship and moved back to my home country in june 2007 with my family except my elder sister...it was my father's decision..but at that time i was under 18yrs of age and same with my siblings except my elder sister who was 18yrs of age and was studying there and still living in canada.....

my question is that since june 2007 i didnot visit canada not even once because i am still studying here at a university and will complete school here soon...and plan to visit or even move back to canada with my family soon.....i also renewed my passport through canadian high commission in april 2013 and was not asked any questions...i guess cuzz i wrote an application saying i am studying here....in may 2013 my father had past away here back home.

1) IS MY CITIZENSHIP AT RISK?
2) WHEN I ARRIVE TO CANADA WILL I BE ASKED A LOT QUESTIONS?
3) ANY OTHER ISSUES I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT CUZZ I AM NOT UP-TO-DATE WITH THE POLICIES?

i dont have any bank account or any property in canada and my father never did any wrong documentation or take child benefits when we moved back home.

From what information you have provided, I do not see any reason why you should be worried about coming back to Canada, you are a citizen of this country.

many thanks for ur rply....
when i come to canada and open a bank account on my name at say TD Canada or which ever bank.....and my mother sells a property back home but the account back home is a joint account on my name and my mother's.....

WILL THERE BE ANY ISSUE TO TRANSFER THAT BIG AMOUNT IN MY ACCOUNT IN CANADA? OR DO I HAVE TO COME WITH MY MOTHER ALSO TO OPEN A JOINT ACCOUNT IN CANADA? BECAUSE THE PROPERTY IS ON MY MOTHER'S NAME

i dont see any problem in here. you can bring the cash if you want or deposit in your account here in Canada. You need to declare it if its 10,000CAD or more (if you come with cash or bank draft) but i dont see any problem with money transfer after you come back here in Canada

Any currency is OK as I was saying you have to declare it if it is equivalent and over 10K CAD .

You can bring 100K just declare it. Some people are hiding the amount of money they are bringing to Canada and when they caught they have to pay the fee. The officer will not tax you for bringing money in Canada,. They want to make sure that this is a clean money nothing else.
