Canadian activate H1B status

I'm Canadian and just got H1B approved this year, but I only have the copy of the I797B approval notice. Do I have to bring the original i797 when activate the H1B at the CBP?

I797B is what you will have , I believe that is same without the I94, that you will get at the border.

Yes carry your passport and original i797.

hi @doorxess i am in similar situation , have you crossed the border with I797B , did they give new I94 , please let us know.
