It's not possible to guess if you will be successful. BTW your previous travel to Thailand will not have any impact on your TRV application.

While having previous travel helps to some extent, a number of other factors which are taken into consideration (Purpose and length of your visit + your strong ties to your home country + your financial situation, etc)

Hi admin/all,
I need your response ASAP, my husband applied for visitors visa on behalf our family ie with our 2 kids, our application was rejected on the following basis
1. Husband, a. Family ties in Canada and country of residence, hubby is from a large family, although his father is deceased, he listed his family info during our online application, he doesn’t have family in Canada,
B. Purpose of visit: we stated categorically that we intend to spend the next Easter holiday(2018) with our kids in Canada, hotel reservations and airline reservations were attached, our very close family friends also sent us invitation letters with their PR card info, they confirmed that we were welcome to stay with them during visit.
C. Current Employment situation: my husband runs his own company and he is doing pretty well, company registration docs and government tax papers were also included. He would require little or no financial support from me for our vacation.

Reasons for my refusal:
A.Family ties in Canada/country of residence. Both my parents are deceased, they passed about 1 1\2 year apart, they had both been married to separate partners before they met each other, they were also separated long before they passed on, my mother had a daughter in her previous marriage, this daughter happens to be the closest family I have, apart from our last names, you wouldn’t be able to tell that we are half sisters, however my father had numerous other children, who I practically know nothing about, I am not sure where they are, their last names or what they do for a living, when we completed the online application, I put in only my half sister’s name, bear in mind I have numerous maternal family members that are very close to me.
B. Purpose of visi: already covered in Hubby’sresponse.

Also note that, we have been to the UK a number of times, we returned from a holiday in the US in August, we included all our itinerary across the US.

I would like to know the following,
1. How soon can we reapply(we were refused lastweek)
2. Am I expected to list family members that I knownothing about, though I won’t be surprised if some of my siblings reside in Canada,
3. Do we have to go back for Biometrics collection( we had our bio taken mid November)
4. We were given room to reapply, do we need to pay for Biometrics?
5. What other documents does my husband need tosubmit to prove he owns his business?
6. Friends advised that we do a paper application next time as against the online application , is this true? Does this mean better chances?
7. Can we use a postal service to send our application to a VAC?

Looking forward to your response, thank you in advance.

Hii

thanks you reply

what kind or travel i am Indian passport holder

thanks again

You need to present very strong ties to the country where you live, strong financial and travel history. It will be ideal if you raise your financials as well as visit 2-3 EU countries before applying.

You need to visit this page, read the details and follow the checklist.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada.html

Even though your financials are pretty strong but you need to demonstrate good travel hisotry as well as strong ties which you already have in Canada. I will suggest you to apply online so you can add property details too.

As most of your immediate family lives in Canada, I would suggest that you apply either alone or only with your wife. Do not apply for your children as that will increase the chances of TRV refusal for you/your wife/your children

Hi,
Posting on behalf of friend.

My friend is working here in canada on a open work permit.
He wants his Mum to come visit here on a visitor visa. She is Permanent Resident of country X .she migrated to country X from her home country with her daughter.

She is dependent on her daughter & lives with her so she doesn’t necessarily have strong ties to her current country X . Example no property, no job, no vehicle etc. She is a retired lady.
Her daughter has applied for Permanent Residency for Canada with an intent of moving here.

She has a good travel history and financially covered for her stay & expenses / tickets.

Given that there are no strong ties to show will this result in refusal of her visitor visa?
Thanks
