Wanted to know exactly how long a Hong Kong citizen can stay in Canada. I am receiving mixed messaged online.

1. HK Immigration Government indicates 6 Months duration of stay

Information Updated October 13th, 2015

2. This VISAHQ website indicates 180days.

Canada tourist visa is not required for citizens of Hong Kong for a stay up to 180 days

Is there one website/url from CIC that indicates duration of stay for Hong Kong citizens?

The problem is I already bought my tickets with entry and return in exactly 6 months (e.g.,From and including: Wednesday, November 11, 2015
To and including: Tuesday, May 10, 2016) as I was confident the Immigration HK website would be accurate. However, I am double checking here before I depart this month.

I have searched this forum and found a topic back in 2010 with saying 6 months. Is that still the case now?

Thank you for your time :)

It's six months.

However keep in mind that how long you are actually allowed into Canada is up to the officer you encounter at immigration when you arrive. Visitors are typically given the default six month visit. But it's entirely possible to be granted a shorter visit by the officer. Since six months is a long visit, you may want to consider bringing evidence with you that shows you have tied to your home country and have no plans on remaining in Canada long term (in the event you are asked and the officer is concerned about the length of your trip).
