Canada TRV application from Bangladesh - Singapore timeline

Anyone recently applied for Canada visit visa from Bangladesh please join this thread and share your timeline.

I have applied for my mother-in-law for visit visa.

10 Feb/14 - application submitted at VFS in Dhaka
13 Feb/14 - CHC Singapore received application

Any idea when the passport will be returned?

Its been 10 days since I applied for visit visa on Feb 10th, no response as yet. Just an update.

Hello everyone,

Just an update - today my tracking number update has been changed. It says processed passport has been dispatched from the Canadian High Commision Singapore to Visa application centre Dhaka.

Can anyone tell how long it would take get Passpprt from Singapore to Dhaka?

Good news guys My Mother-in-Law got the visit visa today from CHC Singapore. Here is the timeline:

2014-02-10 > Apllication submitted in VAC Dhaka
2014-02-13 > Apllication received by CHC Singapore
2014-02-24 > Processed decision has been dispatched from CHC Singapore to VAC Dhaka
2014-02-26 > Processed passport is ready for collection ;D

I have just finished my masters in Canada and I want my parents to join me at my convocation.
Can you please suggest me about the supporting documents required for visit visa. Is "AFFIDAVIT OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT" in favour of their visit in Canada mandatory?

Did she get single or multi entry TRV?

I have bad experience in TRV success with my wife and mom before. Now, I'm going to apply for my mother-in-law. Since my wife is expecting and her mom cannot stay for long period; she is willing to come twice (1st in October for 2 months and 2nd during delivery). I'm mentioning this in my invitation letter so that she is considered for multi-entry TRV. She doesn't work; but takes care of all the properties back home. My father-in-law (who is a doctor) will join her in her expected second visit. Both of them came to Canada before we got married.

If this doesn't present a strong case; I will lean towards Super Visa. Any suggestion?

Application submitted to VFS (Bangladesh):	Dec 01, 2014
Application reached CHC (Singapore):	Dec 05, 2014
Passport dispatched from CHC (Singapore):	Dec 12, 2014

Passport ready for collection at VFS (Bangladesh):

Dec 15, 2014

They collected the passport with visa today, Dec 17, 2014. My mother-in-law got 3.5 years (up to her passport expiry) and father-in-law got 2.5 years (up to his passport expiry).
