Canada to roll out new ‘Employer Portal’ going to start from 26th Oct'2015.

is it something related to Work permit?

if any one has any idea please share ..!

Starting October 26, 2015, CIC is introducing a new electronic system, the Employer Portal.
Employers must submit offers of employment in Labour Market Impact Assessment-exempt situations directly to CIC using this new system. The previous form, IMM 5802 Offer of Employment to a Foreign National Exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment, will no longer be accepted.
If an employer has already provided a completed form to a foreign worker, the worker should submit a work permit application prior to November 21, 2015. If the foreign worker does not submit their application before this date, the employer must resubmit the Offer of Employment using the Employer Portal.
The Employer Portal is part of changes introduced on February 21, 2015 and will be available on CIC’s website on October 26, 2015.

This appears to mostly benefit employers issuing LMIA EXEMPT offers. I guess it's safe to assume this won't affect/concern most of us here. Thoughts?

My employer tells me the employer portal is down since Nov 21 and no applications can be filed because CIC portal is reverting with the employer # that needs to go in the new application form IMM 1295.

Is it true? We haven't been able to submit a single app for the whole month of November and there's no end in sight.

Are all corporates facing the same trouble issuing Offer of Employment / LMIA Exempt forms; do you know any who have filed a WP app in the last 4-5- weeks?

My employer is saying the same thing and one of my team members have the current work permit expiring on Dec 19.
Just don't know what to do as my company has raised 3 tickets with CIC.
Any help is welcome please.

I am also on LMIA exempt with closed wp which is going to expire in Jan. So, do they need to send my offer letter to CIC to extend my wp?

Yes, from what I understand the only way is to send via the 'Employer portal'.

I had a talk to my HR today, and I work for a large multinational company that organizes visas for many in-patriates. She echoed the comments of many on this forum and said that they are having trouble registering for the employer portal. Tell your employer to keep trying.

PS I am also on an LMIA exempt Worker Visa (expiring in late June 2016). I may need to use this in future. Appreciate if anyone can tell me if they have been successful with this.

Hi Buddy what is the current situation of your friends. did your company come with any back up plan for this ? because still the portal issue persists and no applications are able to get the ID number.

Though i read on another CanadaVisa thread that they are asking to submit IMM5802 via an email in case the portal is down. And i have requested the thread for the source of this information.
<FYI - IMM5802 is the same for that is supposed to be submitted by employer to CIC via the portal>

Employer did check with CIC this morning and they acknowledged issue exists with the portal but confirmed that's only way to file an app.

There's no alternative :'(

The good news is the portal is down since this morning (maybe before that too) so MAYBE, MAYBE, MAYBE they're working on fixing it.

We can only swing between stress and belief, and I prefer the latter.

yeah sure buddy , belief works out. Sure everything will be fine once the portal is Up, just keep your belief high. if someone knows the portal is fine we will notify here , which will be helpful for others to be aware of it.

i could see the Portal is UP , i mean its going to the sign in screen, which i was not able to yesterday. i don't know weather the Portal problem is solved or not. you guys have any updates regarding the portal

Heh buddy, any update on your case. is the portal working fine after the e-services got Up yesterday.
