Do you any statistics on fraudulent applicants? Or unchecked illegitimate shortcuts. At least we know the magnitude
Unfortunately nobody probably knows how many fraudulent LMIA and WPs there really are. Canada knows it is a problem. Unless more money is put into enforcement and punishments are increased it will continue to be a problem. The majority of LMIAs and WPs are likely valid. Given the low unemployment rate there is likely less. It takes a huge amount of resources to crack down one immigration firm and their affiliated businesses which is one of the problems. While it likely takes years to prosecute the one firm the punishment is minimal so there isn’t a huge incentive to follow the rules versus possible monetary benefits. If Canada got rid of food service/retail supervisor as a NOC B or specified that the business had to have a certain amount of employees and make over a certain amount of money to qualify that would go a long way to solving the issue.
