Please can anyone advise me on my inquiry. On the Document upload for proof of means of financial support for Canada study permit, it is stated:

• proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees

Is it required for applicants (students) to pay accommodation fees before applying for study permit ?

I find it important to ask. I will appreciate your kind response especially from those who had applied study permit before
