Currently applying for May intake , received offer letter from SPP and canada recognised College.
Paid one year fees 13,150/-CAD
Paid one year GIC 10,000/-CAD
IELTS Score Overal - 7.0 ,,Gave this within a short period not sure if this is good enough,,however meets course requirements
Got student loan of RS35000/-CAD..However didnt attach the loan sanction document at the time of application as I thought one year GIC and student fees should be enough
My parents are both retired , mother has income from property loan.
I have shown brother and Sister in law salaries in the application as they are having very good jobs
I have attached my ITR, Brother's, Sisters in Law and Mother's ITR.
I have attached my company registration details like VAT,CST PT.

In my SOP I have mentioned I will return to India to continue business in embedded systems but
I have been rejected under general category (Other Reason-Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities or your future prospects and plans.

Have I been rejected because of my poor performance in BTECH or

Because of not attaching the loan sanction letter or

Because I have my own business here ?

Requesting people on the forum to please contribute to this thread to help me get a student Visa

Thanks and Regards,

I have applied for Graduate Certificate Course at the Conestoga College in Kitchener, I think its equivalent to PG.
I am not sure why general I have to ask my consultant about it I will let you know by Monday, does that affect my chances of getting a visa?
My parents are retired and do not have salary, my mother gets some income from property rent.
Yes I attached my income tax records ,mother's,brother's and sister in law's along with GIC certificate and the Admission paid receipt.
The consultant was sure at that time about not attaching the student loan sanction as I had GIC and college fees paid and my brother and his wife were financially well off.
I believe this was a severe mistake on my part to not encourage them to attach the loan sanction document.

I am also worried that the reason provided does not state issue with my financials and I am unsure if it is due to my course selection , or poor performance in Btech or something else.

Any suggestion on the Caips , does the CAIPS interpreted take longer to arrive than CAIPS premium?

Can I reapply once again for the same intake?

Requesting experienced board members to please respond.

Does being self employed at the time of application of study permit affect your chances of getting a VISA?If yes then what is the possible solution for it?

Thank you for your reply.

I found the following statement in the checklist for SPP-

"Those who have previously been refused any Canadian study permit application are not eligible to
apply under SPP."

vfs-canada.co.in/pdf/Student_Partners_Program_09022013.pdf

Since my rejection is recent(25 Jan) can I still apply for SPP?

I will be applying for CAIPS to know the detailed description however that would take at-least a month.
The reason given my CIC is given above is not very accurate I wish they added a statement more describing the exact cause.

Can I still apply in SPP if my VISA was rejected in general?
Is it safer to apply in general than SPP are chances of getting a visa more in General?

As suggested by CHC you should re apply when there are significant changes.
That is what I am most concerned about as they have not highlighted, as for some, issues with funds during studies and that addition of education loan would be considered a significant change.

However I would definitely add the loan sanction this time around to strengthen my case. Not going for SPP was a terrible mistake, as I assumed my ATKT and a year gap during my bachelor studies would be a problem.

Is there a limit on the number of ATKT or performance in Bachelor studies on the issue of VISA?

I have also applied for third party CAIPS to know the exact cause and would apply once again once I see the notes , does that make sense?

Should I also add assets and property papers , however this is not included in checklist and I unsure about it, would like to get some opinion on this one as well please.

Thank you friends for your support and response, I look forward to your comments.

SPP is a channel in which the college also applies for visa on behalf of you provided your college supports SPP.This process is faster however does not guarantee visa.Final visa decision is based on the officers judgement. Now that you are rejected once you can only apply through general. Please share your profile so members can help you.
