HI all,
I am in a big confusion, kindly guide me. I got ITA recently from oinp and i have submitted my documents. I want to get married to my boyfriend before landing. So kindly tell me if i marry him before landing how its going to affect my crs score and if i add him before landing we can move together to canada or not?

If you have already submitted your documents, marrying him will not change your score.

You can add him to your application once you're married. You will need to inform IRCC that you are married (via the webform), and they will ask for his medicals and PCC and then add him to your application. It may delay your CoPR by a couple of months, but the advantage is that you can come to Canada together.

Note that it is mandatory to inform IRCC if you get married, even if you aren't adding him as an accompanying spouse. If you don't inform them, they can cancel your PR, or else you will never be able to sponsor him.

Adding a spouse is normal, and very easy, so don't let your PR process stop you getting married. At worst, you're looking at a 2-3 month delay (unless your boyfriend is found inadmissible due to an existing police record or something)

One more query, i am doubtful if i should hire some professional to handle my case of adding spouse before landing or do it myself because i am not fully aware of documents that would be required and i should keep ready. Also, what documents they will be demanding to prove our relationship genuine.Kindly guide.
