Canada PR parents moving to Canada with US citizen baby

Would request forum Vetarans Leon et all to please help me. We are having
canada pr and just had a baby who is a US citizen. Can we move to Canada
with the baby and file for PR in Canada ?

Please, advise.

You sure can. Your baby does not need a visa to come to Canada and can stay for up to a year. So come with the baby and sponsor him or her in Canada.

I believe as a canadian pr...u cam only sponor a dependent when residing in canada....am in the same situation i was out of canada for 2 years and will be returning to canada for good in jan with my usa born baby

I am facing the same situation as u. We have Canada PR and on Oct'2010, we had our baby. Now I am planning to move Canada by Jan'2011 with a job. But not sure abt baby's PR. Please advise me what you are doing for ur baby.

US Citizens can visit Canada but cannot reside permanently, work or study in Canada without required permits. So apply for PR for US citizen baby or Baby cannot go to school or get health benefits.
Even when entering if the intention to not to visit but live in Canada entry may be denied.
