Hi All,

I am (43 age) , currently in India and a PHD degree holder. I am a university professor. I am planning to move to Canada with my husband (43 age) and 2 kids ( 4-5 age). I used the CRS calculator and I only received 349 points but the cutoff is 444.

Do you think if should even apply for Canada PR through express entry? I dont think I have enough points. Do you guys have any suggestions.

Thank You,
Richa

Your biggest disadvantage is your age, which unfortunately you can do nothing about.
You can try to improve your CRS by:
maxing out IELTS scores if you haven't already
Have your husband's education credential assessed
Have your husband take IELTS and get max scores if he hasn't already

Each province has its own program. Which province do you intend to go? I can't just tell you if you are eligible or not.

Hey,
You can apply for any of the provinces, for which first you need to check your eligibility on 2 basic criteria i.e. you should get a minimum of 67 points based on your Age, Education, Work Experience, IELTS score, Adaptability and Arranged Employment(if any); and your occupation should fall under the demand list of the country, then you will be eligible to get in the express entry pool and can apply for any of the PNP you are eligible for
